About this opportunity

Crisis Text Line runs a free, 24/7 text-based crisis support line staffed entirely by trained volunteers. Counselors text with people in crisis from a computer, on their own schedule.

What to expect

• Complete a free, self-paced ~30-hour online training (collaborative problem solving, reflective listening, crisis management)
• A background check and 2 references are required before you start
• Volunteers commit to a 4-hour shift per week until reaching 200 hours
